Advanced AC Tune-Up

Make your AC system more efficient

The PNM Advanced AC Tune-Up Program provides diagnostic and inspection services designed to improve the efficiency of your commercial air conditioning (AC) system.

It's Not Your Typical Tune-Up

Your selected PNM Authorized Contractor will test every component of your AC system, ensuring that each is operating to maximum capacity. Utilizing their energy efficiency expertise and advanced diagnostic equipment, your contractor will perform a comprehensive assessment of the safety and efficiency of your equipment.

Check and Correct:

  • Thermostat operation
  • Refrigerant charge
  • Electrical system
  • Airflow

Inspect and Clean:

  • Air handling unit and motor components
  • Condenser and evaporator coils
  • Condensate drain

Inspect and Replace:

  • Drive belts
  • Duct seals
  • Air filter(s)

Note: If your system requires additional refrigerant or other repair to restore full functionality, you may incur an additional charge for those services. Your system must be operational prior to completing a tune-up. Your contractor will notify you if they are unable to perform the tune-up service and inform you of next steps.

Who is Eligible?

The PNM Advanced AC Tune-Up Program is for all non-residential customers who own or manage a building with an average annual energy usage of less than 750,000 kWh.

(Customers with energy usage more than 750,000 kWh can qualify for HVAC and other system efficiency improvements through the Retro-Commissioning Program.)
